Goodbye Binks

Well it's been a whole week since Jake decided that it was time to give up the binki. (Yes I know he's a little old, my fault) He decided that he would trade his binks for this pirate stuff. This is a huge deal for us. Max say's it's harder on me than Jake. Anyway I've been dreading the day that we would take it away but it hasn't been too bad. Now its time for his blanket. Or as we like to call it "the rag"
Yes I know it's pretty bad. You should see it in real life. I don't dare to wash it as much as I should because I'm afraid it will be left as shreds in the bottom of my washing machine. Let's just work on one thing at a time though. The rag is staying. It's his special blanket from when he was a baby.

Ali,
that is huge!!! Beckham had like 5 binkies and one day while he was at school I was making his bed and had a freak-out I cut all the tops off. When I went to go pick him up I told him they were just broken...I'm pretty sure he hated me that day. luckily he got over it. Good for you!!! & email me so I can send you an invite for recipe blog. britfullmer at yahoo dot com

I love it! That blanket has really been loved! Its so funny the things that they get attached to, Adds has this trashy pink bear we just cant seem to get rid of. I guess if it makes them happy right!

Wow! That's funny. We have a couple of those things around our house too. But as moms we really get more attached to those things than our kids. We thought we lost my little girl's stuffed bunny at the mall the other day and I thought I was about to have a meltdown.

It's okay, Isaac still loves his binky. He sometimes wants two..one to rub against his cheek and one to suck on. I love the blanket, keep those rags forever!
